Our special Yom Kippur Kids Shul is a fun, interactive, and engaging service where kids take the lead! From leading the prayers to sharing words of Torah and helping run the service, children become active participants in creating their own meaningful Jewish experience.
And this year, we have an extra-special surprise: a live performance by Cricket the Magician!
What to Expect
Kids Lead the Prayers
Children take turns leading age-appropriate prayers, singing familiar tunes, and participating in a way that makes them feel comfortable, confident, and connected.
Kids Share Words of Torah
Through short stories, discussions, and meaningful lessons, we'll explore the message of Yom Kippur in a way children can understand and relate to. We'll talk about kindness, forgiveness, making good choices, and becoming the best versions of ourselves.
Kids Help Run the Service
This is their shul, their way! Children will have opportunities to help organize activities, participate in the service, and take on special roles. Every child can feel like they belong and have something important to contribute.

What ages is Kids Shul for?
Kids Shul is designed for children of different ages and abilities. Younger children can enjoy the stories, songs, and activities, while older children are encouraged to take on leadership roles and help run the service. But mostly age 2-12
Does my child need to know Hebrew or how to pray?
Not at all! No Hebrew knowledge or previous synagogue experience is necessary. Our service is welcoming and accessible to children of all backgrounds. Every child can participate at their own level.
Do parents need to stay with their children?
Parents are welcome to join their children for Kids Shul, or they can also attend the main Yom Kippur services taking place at Chabad in teh tent
What will the children learn about Yom Kippur?
We'll focus on the beautiful messages of Yom Kippur: forgiveness, kindness, fresh starts, and our special connection with G‑d. Through stories and interactive participation, children will discover how they can make a difference in the world around them.
When will Cricket the Magician perform?
Cricket's special performance is part of our Kids Shul program beginning at 11:00Â AM.Â
Is this only for Chabad members?
Absolutely not! Kids Shul is open to all Jewish families, regardless of background, affiliation, or level of observance. Whether you come to Chabad every week or this is your first visit, we'd love to welcome you.
